our little reindog

Oh I have been getting ready for the holidays as well as being busy with some CHA projects, which has led to me neglecting the poor blog!  It is a busy time of year for sure.  Anyway, today I am sharing a layout for Bella Blvd.  Our dog, Scout, puts up with so much!  With a bright and playful theme in my pictures, I pulled out some fun, colorful papers for this one.

Lots of stitching and cameo cuts here.

I love going right over my chipboard letters with my machine!

Check out the Bella Blvd blog today to see more about this layout and even more!

love this

Here is another layout I did for the Scrapbooking Studio using the Carta Bella Merry and Bright line.  I can't take credit for it really because it is pretty much a direct lift from the fabulous Lilith.  Lilith had a segment in a recent class I took over at Studio Calico and taught us how to use the cameo to cut out a shape and use it as a stitching template.  I loved the idea and had to try it out myself.

It took a little extra time, but I love the way the heart turned out.  Thank you for the great tutorial, Lilith!

Thanks for stopping by!  You can find all of these Carta Bella goodies at the Scrapbooking Studio.

more december daily

And as I promised, here are days 5, 6 and 7.  Like I said, in my previous post, I am keeping it simple this year.  A picture, just a few notes and some embellishments.   I made all of my little number tags in advance, so that helped with making it easier.  Each number tag is like an embellishment for the page.

Thanks for stopping by!

a december daily update

Well, I am finally updating my blog with some of my December Daily pages.  I am trying to keep it way simpler this year...since I have other projects that I need to keep up with.  And I have to say, I am struggling to keep afloat.  It is easier for me to do a couple pages at a time because of the printing of the pictures.  I want to print a couple of days worth at one sitting... Anyway, I am making it work.  I love this project.  I love to pull out the previous year's book and read about our lives!  I also love all of the Christmas papers and goodies.  What better excuse to have to buy it??... a December Daily.  So here are some the pages I have completed...

Every once in a while, I have thrown in a 4x6 page protector just as an extra decorative page.

I've got more pages for tomorrow's post.

An oldie, but a goodie + a birthday

I've been going through some layouts that I made this year and found some that I don't think I ever posted on the blog.  This one was made with some of a Studio Calico kit and some Crate Paper Storyteller line.   I really wanted to try this sunburst thing and this Studio Calico paper was a great guide line to follow.

In other news... we had a birthday in the house yesterday.  Not a big fan of cake so we did a a big cookie instead.

A very happy little boy indeed!

Christmas Train

Here is another Christmassy layout that I made for the Scrapbooking Studio.  I dug out some old Christmas pictures of the boys for this one.  I love the fun whimsical feel of these Carta Bella papers.

I found the train frame cut out at the silhouette store.  It fit my layout perfectly!

The green train track sticker was a border sticker that I cut down.  I took off the fancy part to make it look more like tracks.

Lately I have really loved the look of layering papers with cut outs so that the under layer shows through, like with these triangles.

Christmas inspiration

Today on the Bella Blvd blog is inspiration day!  Here is the image that we were given:

And... here is the layout that I came up with...

Tracking Santa:

I found a sketch that I liked that had long strips of papers that sort of reminded me of the long, tall glass container.  I used doilies to mat my photos and pinecones as my main embellishment.  The best part about this layout is that I didn't not use a single piece of Christmas themed paper!

I can't wait to see how this image inspired the other Bella designers.  Stop by the blog to check some more Christmasy layouts.

a holiday card

To start the week off, I have a little holiday card for you.  This card was made for the Scrapbooking Studio using Carta Bella's Merry and Bright collection.  Such a fun and bright set of papers with traditional Christmas colors as well as some non traditional ones, pinks and light blues.  I cut the frame out using a postcard cut on my cameo.  I also got the star postmark from the same cut file.

I stamped and clear embossed some snowflakes in the background for a subtle effect.

Then I added some embellishments, twine and some stitching of course.
