every true princess

Good morning!  I am trying to use things up from my scrapbook stash to make room for the new stuff to come and so I dug in to a mix of my Studio Calico kits to make this layout.   I had snapped this sweet picture of these two, Piper in a princess costume and Ashton, pretending to be her hero with his bow and arrow.  i just love the expression on her face and her hand clasped together!

My title is on a clear frame.  I stuck the piece of pink ribbon tape behind the word "needs" to help it not get lost in the blue and white polka dots.

I hand stitched this little border using an old template I had laying around.  It reminded me of the recording of a beating heart, so I attached a wood heart on the left.

Hope you are having a good week!  I can't believe it is the end of July today... this summer is going fast!

right here

Hello, I am trying to get back on a schedule of layouts and blog posts, only to be away again next week!   It has been a busy summer that is for sure.  A couple more weeks and everyone will be back in school and a regular routine will resume...well, somewhat regular at least.  For now, I am continuing to enjoy the summer.  So I will leave you with a sunny layout today...

This sunshine cut file is a freebie on the Chic Tags website.  I am absolute love with it.  I used a video posted by my dear scrapping friend, Sherri to make the cut in to the background of my page.   Here is the link to her video.

I am really enjoying hand stitching on my layouts these days, so I added some in between rays here.

And here is a close up of my picture, some Chic Tags, and the Good Stuff button is from A Flair for Buttons!

Check out the Practical Scrappers blog today for more ideas on scrapbooking with sunshines.

heading home from CHA

Wow!  What a week.  I met so many amazing people and had such a good time.  I loved our little tiny booth at the show...small and cozy, but filled with amazing things.  Veronica and Albert have truly outdone themselves!  And I was lucky enough to be a part of this wonderful homegrown company.

The Chic Tag blog is having some amazing giveaways.  Stop by, look at the new collections and leave a comment for a chance to win.  I am blogging from the airport waiting for my delayed flight.  More pictures to come once I am back home.

hello canada's wonderland + bella blvd reveal #1

Hi there.  Today I have a layout that's a little different for me, I've used circular photos!  Still loving this Crate Paper line, the Pier!   I am so thrilled to get to work with it this month for the Scrapbooking Studio.

To tie in with my circular photos, I have also used circular embellishments.... the ferris wheel, the cotton candy die cut, a chipboard button and the sequins.

To see more layouts with circular photos, check out the Practical Scrappers site today!

let the summer begin

Hello again!  Here is a layout using one of my most favorite lines this year, Crate Paper's the Pier.  Such beautiful colors.  And those chipboard frames??  May I never run out of them!  This layout was made for the Scrapbooking Studio.  To give me more room for these awesome embellishments, I went with a basic grid pattern.

Some close up shots:

This paper line is in the store now, so stop by the Scrapbooking Studio to pick some up!
