A second layout using Little Yellow Bicycle's Winter Twig:

Again, I had to dig deep for these winter pictures!  Journalling is hidden in these little envelopes.

winter layout. winter??

For my February assignment at the Scrapbooking Studio, I was given some Little Yellow Bicycle Winter Twig to work with... cute paper... the only problem...we didn't really have winter!  So I dug deeper into my stash of old pictures and found the perfect snow shots for this paper.

I really had fun making this layout with the zigzag pattern.  I followed a tutorial on the October Afternoon blog to make this pattern.  In a nutshell, I cut strips of patterned paper, snipped off the ends and lined them up in a chevron pattern and then added stitching on top.

Instagram mini

Marcy Penner recently posted a great tutorial on the October Afternoon blog on how to make this cute little mini album to hold a week's worth of Instagrams.  I absolutely love her stuff, her layers upon layers and her stitching... clean and simple yet sort of rustic.  When I saw it there, step by step, I knew I had to give it a try.  I've used Echo Park's new This and That line to make this 4" little mini book.  I love the little tag with the baker's twine to close the book.  It was really easy to follow her directions.  Thanks Marcy!

Take One layout

Trying to get three kids looking in the same direction is a challenge.  Throw a dog in the mix and it is just chaos.  Used these little Studio Calico frames to scrapbook my outtakes.

Happy Little Moments

I am taking a class over at Studio Calico called Happy Little Moments.  Maggie Holmes is showing us how to take an old book and alter it.  I love it!  I've only made my cover so far, but it has been fun!  I am planning on just putting some of my favorite everyday Instagram pics in it.  More later, but here is the cover for now...
