two cards

I'm blogging on the go today!  I am in Canada visiting family, but I thought I would pop in to share with you a couple of cards that I have made.

This first one is for the Scrapbooking Studio.  A birthday card using Amy Tangerine's line, Yes Please!

This second card I made for the dear Stephanie of Bella Blvd who just got married a couple of weekends ago.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Challenge: A sketch!

Hello, hello.  I hope you had a drier weekend than around here.  We have had so much rain.

Today I have a brand new layout to share with you that I made for the Chic Tags Sunday Challenge.  We were to use this image for inspiration or as a sketch:

And here is my take on the layout...

Pink:

I used very little patterned paper and relied heavily on the tags and die cuts.  I encourage you to give this one a try.  Link up your layout to this blog post for a chance to win.  Veronica has some awesome give aways!  Until next time!

summer mini album with Epiphany Crafts

Good Morning,

Yesterday was my turn up on the Epiphany Crafts blog!  I have started a mini album for an annual trip that we take in August.  I thought if I could get it set up ahead of time, I'd have an easier time filling it in with pictures and journaling as I go.  We will see how that goes!  My cover is ready and that is a start!  I have used both Epiphany Crafts Round Tool 25 and 14, some bubble caps and Crate Paper's the Pier line to make my own circular embellishments.

This light blue patterned paper with the intersecting lines reminded me of a beach ball!  Perfect summer embellishment!

I hope this little mini album helps me stay organized while on our holiday this year!

blog hop time!

Hi there!  It is the 29th of the month which means that it is time for the Social [Media] Butterflies Blog Hop again!  You have probably come here via Jen's blog, but if you haven't stopped there, be sure to go back and visit.   This month we are using printables by paislee press.  Liz has designed so many different collections that have a simple and minimalist feel to them... I had a hard time choosing which collection to pick.  I finally decided to go with the On My Desk journaling cards.

Here is the layout that I came up with...

These things make me happy:

As I started working with the paislee press journaling cards, I decided to challenge myself to not use any patterned paper aside from the background sheet.  All of my little bits of patterned papers came from the set of On My Desk journaling cards.   I am so pleased at how it turned out.  Here are some up close peeks...

I absolutely adore Liz's minimalistic style.  I love white space on my layouts.  I love to cluster bits of embellishments.  So this was right up my alley!

Be sure to leave a comment to be entered for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to paislee press.  Next up in our blog hop order is Kristin.  Stop by to see what she has made... and remember the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win that gift certificate!

a spring layout

Hello.  I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend.  Ours was pretty soggy.  Rain all three days... and really not all that warm.  I am ready for some nicer weather.  I guess that is what Spring is all about.  Speaking of Spring, here is another layout using the Amy Tangerine line, Yes Please, that I made for the Scrapbooking Studio last month.  The soft colors are great for a spring themed layout.  To make this stitched circle, I traced a big circle right on to my page and then took a paper piercer to poke holes along the circle.  Finally, I back stitched with a piece of embroidery floss.

Easter a.m.:

Here are a few closer peeks:

off to great places...

Hello!  I have just realized that I missed posting a bunch of layouts that I did for the Scrapbooking Studio!  Last month I used the Amy Tangerine collection, Yes, please.  Here is my first layout... there is another one to come.  Be sure to check back!

Off to Great Places:

I love the soft, yet bright colors in this collection!  Perfect for spring.

This collection is now at the Scrapbooking Studio.  For the locals..., stop by and pick some up for yourself!

this is nine

Just a quick little post here today.  The other day I had a layout up on the Epiphany Crafts blog and I forgot to post it here as well!  So... here it is!  I used the hexagon shape tool to make these colorful little bits!  They are covered with an epoxy hexagon bubble cap.

Here are some close ups:

Hope you are having a good day!
