spring is in the air

Last week was button week on the Epiphany Crafts blog.   I made a layout with some handmade flowers and then embellished them with some custom buttons.  The hand stitched stems of my flowers adds to their homemade look.  I don't know about you…but spring is definitely being welcomed in this neck of the woods!  What a winter it has been!!

Since St. Patrick's day is just around the corner I decided to make a quick little tag with some buttons. I used some green patterned papers behind my Epiphany Crafts buttons and then arranged them into the shape of a shamrock.

I am back for another fabulous term on the Pretty Little Studio Design Team!  I love working with these products... and just when I think I have found my favorite, Melissa designs something new!  Looking forward to another term with amazing designers!

I loved all the little squares, but changed it up a bit.  I used the little paint chips from Maggie's Style Board Ephemera pack as my squares.  Check out the Paper Camellia blog for more details...

Chic Tags stamps + Clear Snap inks

Hi!  All week long on the Chic Tags blog and the Clear Snap blog we have been cross promoting products!  These inks are so awesome to work with… I have been reminded to pull out my stamps more often.  I love the look of stamping on a layout, but sometimes I forget about them! Here are two 8.5x11 layouts that I made:

 This first layout, I used some water colors and a paint brush to make some round circles of color.  I didn't worry about size really.  Once the water colors had dried, I took my black Clear Snap ink and stamped the US stamp over top of the color.

This second layout uses a bunch of different stamps.  The Mix'd Media ink takes a little longer to dry so I put some clear embossing powder on top of the Morning Sunshine stamp and heated it.

I really enjoyed working with these inks… Check both the Clear Snap blog and the Chic Tags blog from the beginning of the week for more stamping inspiration!
